Kathryn Lowries was born in Warwickshire, England in 1978 and studied as an Illustrator at Falmouth College of Art until 2000.

Lowries sells her original watercolours worldwide. She takes her inspiration from a variety of sources, commenting on the world around her as she sees it. The use of a selective and vibrant colour palette is characteristic of her signature style, amalgamating spontaneous mark-making with areas of detail.

In 2007 Lowries brings two fresh bodies of work depicting scenes from the English Civil War and Cathedrals in Britain. Two series of mounted, signed Limited Edition Prints illustrating history through contemporary imagery. Lowries has obtained fresh material from working with the Fairfax regiment, a leading English Civil War re-enactment group.
